INSPIRATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

We prefer colour images with a mix of landscape and portrait shots. We use a portrait image for the lead image of the article, similar to what you can see at the top of this page, so include your very best portrait shots.

Our most popular weddings highlight the decor, fashion, flowers and any other details the couple has used to personalise their day. Our readers love unique details and of course, all the emotions a wedding brings, so be sure to include those.

DIVERSITY

Chris Brake Photography is actively improving diversity and inclusivity across the wedding industry. We encourage submissions that embrace and represent everyone. We are proactively trying to increase the visibility of Black brides and grooms on our pages, following on from our diversity and inclusivity pledge. We also wholly encourage LGBTQI+ couples, couples with disabilities (visible or not) and anyone from a marginalised or minority group to submit to us. Our goal is for everyone who engages with Chris Brake Photography to feel included. Representation is everything.

BUDGET

Our readers want to see weddings that represent a wide variety of budgets. We want simplicity, extravagance, and everything in between. Whether the wedding cost £100 or £100,000, we want to see it.

CHRIS BRAKE PHOTOGRAPHY APPROVAL CRITERIA

In order for your wedding or shoot to get approved by us for publication, the wedding must hit at least two out of three of the following criteria:

  1. You are a Chris Brake Photography Recommended supplier. It is important to us that we are supporting those businesses that support ours.
  2. Your wedding or editorial shoot is diverse. As outlined above we have a pledge in place to increase the visibility of Black brides and grooms as well as those who fall under any marginalised or minority communities; including but not limited to – Asian couples, couples from the LGBTQ+ community, couples with disabilities – visible or not and mature couples. It’s important that we are representative and inclusive of everyone.
  3. The wedding or shoot has a very strong unique look and feel, or story. What makes the wedding/shoot stand out? What about this wedding/shoot will inspire the hundreds of thousands of couples looking at our pages? Our audience loves variety, does this differ from existing content or content we already have scheduled?

HOW TO SUBMIT

We ask for six weeks of exclusivity on all features, this includes print, press, social media and websites associated with wedding magazines or newspapers. This means that up to and six weeks post-publication on Chris Brake Photography, we ask that the images are not featured anywhere else. Images can of course be shared on your own personal and business feeds and by suppliers involved in the wedding/shoot.

If you are a bride or groom and wish to submit we suggest talking to your photographer and asking them to submit on your behalf.

We’re really looking forward to receiving your submission and thank you for choosing Chris Brake Photography to share your work!
